Cathy’s sermon title this Sunday: “Living in Fear or Trust in the Light”
Once again on the First Sunday of Advent, the lectionary gives us a text about the end times, or, as it is sometimes called, “The Little Apocalypse.” I think I can honestly say that this passage is really and truly not one of my favorites, but considering what is happening in our world today, maybe it is more than appropriate for us to explore this text.
As you prepare for worship this Sunday, I would like for each of you to spend some time reflecting on any fears you may have. What makes your heart race just a bit, or what makes you breathe a little faster when you think about it? We are entering that time of year when we reflect, remember, and remember to whom we belong, who holds our hearts.
May your Thanksgiving Day be a day of reflection and love.
Blessings and love,
