POP’s-On July 11th join our POP”s hiking group for an outing at Bakers Park near Silverton. Meet at 8:30 am across the street from the church on 12th St, or for those toward Hermosa meet at 8:45 at PJ’s parking lot. We’ll carpool to Silverton to hike on the new Bakers Park trail. Parking is half a mile from downtown Silverton. There’s a large parking area. The trail is on a contour from the Cement Ck. Drainage to above the Animas drainage. The hiking is considered easy. Most of the trail is through Aspen. There are many openings for a view of Silverton and the surrounding mountains. We expect to return to the cars for lunch.
