Laundry Love

For two Wednesday afternoons in April, nine of our members volunteered for the Laundry Love program sponsored by Neighbors in Need Interfaith Alliance (NINIA).  We paid for and assisted unhoused folks in Durango with their laundry at North Main Laundry.  Over the 2 Wednesdays, we served 18 people and washed 123 loads of laundry.  This was a worthwhile volunteer opportunity and it provided each of our volunteers the chance to socialize with people who get too few of these interactions.
