Letter from Pastor John Welton

Dear Members and Friends,

On this first Sunday of Lent we will close out Luke chapter 9. This starts off what is commonly called “the travel narrative”. These 10 chapters follow Jesus and his disciples as they set their face toward Jerusalem. We will hear parables, cryptic teachings, and faithful observations. Our story this Sunday will focus on those that wish to follow Jesus. We will see as one excuse after another keeps would be followers from the path of discipleship. It is a good story for Lent as we examine what keeps us from our personal discipleship. Join us as we take our first steps on the road to Jerusalem!

Have a wonderful end of the week and see you this Sunday!

Peace,

John
