Oct. 10th POP’s will lead a Fall color hike on a trail in East Hermosa Creek, behind Purgatory. It’s a relatively gentle, 4-mile hike in a mixed forest with aspen and splendid views of Hermosa Peak and Black Hawk Mtn. The tail ends in a pleasant meadow, bring water, a lunch or snacks. The elevation is around 10,000 ft so prepare for cooler conditions. Let’s plan on assembling near the 12th St entrance to the church at 9am and carpool to the trailhead.
